Aaah it feels good to be uploading this Most things become a bit of a chore once I get past the sketching stage, and I don't feel motivated to finish them off. Rather than tackling this in one shot, I left the sketchbook and markers out on my desk and just added in a little each time I went past over the weekend (while I was trapped at home working on a presentation T__T ). This proved to be a good thing as it gave me time to decide on colours and shading/highlighting for each part without rushing :3

So what is it? A week back I attended an Alice in Wonderland picnic, and was impressed by a number of the costumes on display. As such, this will most likely be the first in a series though I may not do the others in as much detail because I'm lazy~. These are the characters that (Dinah), (the White Rabbit) and I (Mad Hatter) played. I realise these are three characters that are unlikely to ever associate, but I spent most of the weekend with these two poppets and thus it felt appropriate ^_^; Please give them all the credit for their original costumes; I was only responsible for my own. I realise I've left off some minor details (I was going from memory!) - namely some of the chains on the costumes - because chains are a pest to draw and there were just so many of them. Also I was afraid the details might start to interrupt the flow of the picture. has a deviation featuring one of the costumes if you're inclined to take a peek: [link] (he's a hardcore photographer awesome).

I'd like to also draw special attention to the background. Are you proud, momma? I was wary of adding one, because I know I often fall into the trap of drowning out the characters. Thus as a preventative measure, I selected a handful of the blandest markers and restricted myself to using only them for the background, so it wouldn't become too strong. It worked! Yay~

This was done on A3 cartridge and thus had to be scanned in 3 pieces >_< ugg. Stitching was crazy-town hard because I don't have photoshop ;_; but I hope it's not too noticeable.

Anyway I hope it was worth the wait Also, and I hope you don't mind me putting up a picture of your characters without asking ;_; Please don't be too hard on me *pleads*
